George Copeland is an actor and playwright based in New York City, where he trained at Columbia University’s MFA acting program under Ron van Lieu and James Calleri. George has had the privilege of working with a variety of talented creatives in New York, from productions with emerging playwrights and filmmakers to the Royal Shakespeare Company’s production of King Lear.
Before beginning his journey as an actor, George was a biology major and spent much of his time traveling the natural world, including Baja California and South Africa, working both in ecological research and safari guiding. George is also an avid climber, and has reached the summit of the highest peaks on four continents, including Antarctica. George resides in Queens with his wife and two cats.
